hair on the bottom of foot

I have twice now plucked hair from the bottom of my foot. This last one was on the ball of my foot and it looked ingrown! It was looped around under the skin and about 1/2 inch long. Have you ever heard of this? Am I crazy or can a hair actually grown out of a sole of your foot??
