Hamstring Insertion Point

Hi there. I have had a specific dance-related injury for about a year now.
I went into the “splits” without warming up (right leg foward, left leg behind), and have had some minor tears and inflammation to the hamstring insertion point tendon. my sports doctor/physio has informed me that after now having had some cordazone shots that I have the option for surgery. does anyone have any information about this type of surgery?thanks

i would make sure it is the hamstring insertion and not the adductor, I have had I similar injury for 18 months now thinking and being told by various doctors and physio’s that it was a hamstring injury and now I know it’s a adductor problem. it’s worth getting an MRI of the area if you haven’t already
