Heel Spur

Can a spur on the back of the heel cause achilles tendonitis? I was originally diagnosed with haglunds, but now a different pod.(who took x-rays) has diagnosed me with spurs(bottom no problem and back I think that might be my problem)and achilles tendonitis. I have a lump on the side of the heel which he says is the achilles where it attaches not haglunds..
