hip surgery

My mother’s physical therapist prescribed her a home program to follow after her total hip replacement. The exercises are only text, and inlcuded no pictures. Do you happen to have pictures of the following exercises: ankle pump, hip flexion, hip abduction, quad set, gluteal set? Thanks for any help you can provide me. I am confused regarding how to proceed with her exercises without pics to follow, and the PT does not have any pictures to offer us.Hilary

Hilary,There is no reason on earth why your Mother’s PT can not give you pictures of those specific exercises. You are, after all, paying that therapist, aren’t you? Most PTs can get you specific info (with pictures) from either one of their textbooks, or off of a PT site on the Internet. Call that PT and strongly request that they get some pictures for your mother, so it will be easier for her to follow, and to understand, the various exercises. Let us know how you make out, and good luck.
