Ingrown toenail
Hello I have suffered from ingrown toenails for as long as I can remember. They usually just heal up in a week or two after soaking it.
I have had this most recent one for ongoing 3 months now, I have soaked it, used alcohol (ouch), Peroxide, Neosporine, Keflex, and a aniseptic dye called castellani’s. And it is still here, I even tried my own self surgery (after taking 2 Codien(sp)). I went to the hospital a month and a half ago and they said I needed surgery but I do not have insurance so I could not have it done. I also may be Diabetic. My doctor diagnosed me as Hypoglcemic when I was 17. But my syptoms have changed since then. The reason I am writing this is because the other day in the shower I looked down and my toe was bleeding profusely and it scared me a bit. So I needed some advice as to anymore procedures I can take to fix my toe. As I said before they go away quite quick. This one just will not heal. And it is still seeping all the time. Thank you for taking the time to read this. I know it was quite long, I hope to hear from you soon -Ammy

I would want to see your foot and x-ray it, perhaps an MRI as well. This injury is difficult to get over. You might need to wear a support or brace.

I wish I could help you. I just broke my 2nd 3rd and 4th metatarsal playing basketball. Does your foot still hurt.
