Injuried Big Toe playing basketball
Injuried my Big toe playing ball.
First thing that happened, I felt my big toe nail on left foot moving or at least felt that way when playing ball.
I believe I the new shoes I was wearing are to blame.
A few minutes later Someone stepped on my toe with there heal.
I have had previous injuries to my toe nails playing ball. This one seemed to hurt a bit more.
The process of losing my nail takes about 10 to 12 months?
Is this normal?
Also what can I do for my current injury.
I am icing the toe currently?
Any other advice?
My toe is red a bit swollen. (ice has helped) And the toe nail is smokie.
I am going to loss the nail.
The pain seems to be at the base of the nail wear it meets the skin?

Without seeing it, I can't tell you for sure. It will take up to 1 year for a new nail to grow out. If it is still hurting, you should see a podiatrist who can determine what course of action to take.
