My GP told me this was a form of eczema and I was prescribed an ointment called DiproBase. This helps reduce itchiness. Make sure you know whether it is fungal or eczema. I used anti-fungal cream earlier and this was useless.

I am surfing the web right now for something that can offer my 73 yr old father some relief. For years.. in spurts… He gets insanely itchy feet.. He can’t sleep.. It makes Him so nuts, and at times its been so unbearable He has wished He could just hack His feet off. Only relief that Hes found.. is COLD. He cannot have His feet warm or hot.. if they are.. they become insanely itchy. Sometimes at night, He will try and sleep with an ice pack on His feet to numb the nerve endings in the feet. If anyone has any suggestions or ideas.. please email me at [email protected] help would be greatly appreciated~Robin

Hi, My Name is Robin aka lilsins, I responded in the same thread that you all wrote in regarding itchy feet. Here was my post ~Robin—————————————————————————Anyhow.. diligently I have been surfing to try and find something to offer my father some relief. During my research I have come across a couple things.. 1) possible neuropathy 2) vitamin deficiencyMy Dad has suffered with this for 13 yrs.. and its gotten worse as time goes on.. I told my dad to take some multi-vitamin supplements 2 days ago.. and He’s already feeling better. I am so relieved.. I told Him today to start taking a B-complex as well as a multi-vitamin.. and we should know in the next couple days if this cures this.My Dad has been taking blood thinners for the same amount of time that He’s had the itching (only we didn’t make this connection till I started to believe it was a B12 deficiency.. thru researching this, I have discovered that some drugs.. PREVENT B12 from absorbing into one’s system.. hence – causing a B12 deficiency. He’s already feeling much better with the Deep itch and burn. I just thought You may want to know this.. incase its something You might want to try. Multi Vitamins couldn’t hurt. Worth a shot. Robin

: My GP told me this was a form of eczema and I was prescribed an ointment called DiproBase. This helps reduce itchiness. Make sure you know whether it is fungal or eczema. I used anti-fungal cream earlier and this was useless. about two years ago my feet started itching at night. the itch was so bad that I used a hairbrush to scrub my feet till they were raw.that felt better than itching. my doctor said it was eczema and gave me some ointment that did nothing. I tried all the antifungal stuff with no help. I found a cure for my feet. I started soaking them in vinegar for about 20 min a night. it took three nights and no more itch. It is amazingsomething so simple cured me after spending lots of money on other stuff. it has been about two months now with no problems. I hope this helps others.

Not to scare anyone, but my mother had a problem with her feet burning about 4 years ago. After 7 months of an unbearable burning sensation and seeing several doctors for opinions who were thinking that it was a circulatory problem or neuropathy…she demanded a complete physical. Upon a chest x-ray they found lung cancer. Come to find out that many people can have an allergic reaction to lung cancer that causes a chemical in the body. This chemical can cause burning and for some reason typically settles in the feet. Come to find out only after speaking to the thoracic surgon that this occures rather often and none of her other doctors have ever even hear of it! I am not saying that if your feet burn that you have cancer, but please don’t dismiss the idea especially if you are/were a smoker, or spent a lot of time around second hand smoker or other known carcinogens!
