jones break-5th metarsal
I am now ready to begin physical therapy after being in a cast for 4 months.
I don’t have any medical insurance and can not afford the physical therapy that my doctor has recommended.
I need information on the exercises so that I can do them at home.

Call your doctor and ask him/her if they have any exercise instruction sheets. I didn’t go to physical therapy after I was out of a cast for my Jones Fx.Heel lifts were what my doctor suggested. Stand with your feet flat on the ground and lift your heels until you are on your toes.A side note… Jones Fx can be extremely slow to heal, due to the low blood flow the base of the fifth metatarsal recieves. I ended up having to have surgery on my foot after the bone never fully healed (a year later).
