juvenile bunion surgery

I wrote you quite a few months ago regarding my daughter 14, figure skater having juvenile bunions. She is now is in her 6th week of recovery from a kalish bilateral bunionectomy procedure. She is actually doing quite well-very little pain/swelling following the procedure and is back in wide tennis shoes and was released for exercise but no jumping. She still has swelling around the main joint which is considered normal.
She does a lot of biking and is looking forward to getting back into her skates.
I think the age, screw fixation and finding a good podiatrist helped with her speedy recovery. Just wanted to post this because so many times people just hear of the horror stories. Have a good day.
