knee alignment

I just finished PT for my knee.
It has arthritis and the kneecap pulls to the left.
I was advised to use tape to pull the kneecap to the center.
I was shown how to do it. I went online to find the tape and saw braces that claim to do the same thing.
Would I be better off with a brace (nothing with metal in it)? I would have asked the physical therapist but I finished with that last week.

Actually, I think that the tape will do a better job, be less expensive, and fell a lot better than a bulky brace. Many people tape their knees to stabilize their patella’s, so you should get the hang of it after the first few times. Try that first; if if doesn’t help, then you can consider getting a brace. Let us know how you make out with the taping.
