    What caused your hyperextension? Is it something your were born with or was it an injury? Is it causing you pain or other problems?

    I injured my knee a couple days ago when I fell and did the splits, the leg tht extended forwaed has now become very painful on the side of knee and a little above and below the knee. what should I do about it? ice, heat, wrap tight, what?

    I am suffering from a hyperextention of my knee from playing rugby. I actually have minimal pain in my knee but have an extremely tender and swollen calf. The swelling is also surrounding my ankle. I need help with ways to strengthen my knee and reduce pain. I have gone to my doctor and had x-rays done, which show no fractures in either my knee or ankle. I have iced and taken ibprofen for swelling but have found that the swelling and soreness is worse. My doctor did give me an ankle support brace which has helped and allowed me to be more mobile. My doctor also believes that I may have a plantaris tear and/or solens tear (unnecessary tendonds off of the achilles used for reconstructing ankles). I could use your help for the best methods to rebuild and rehabilitate my injury. Thank you.

    EAR DOCTORS, I hope ur well and have good time . I born on21feb1947.after 4 years infectedby (poliomyelitis ), the result is:1_muscles atropgy of the right leg2_weak and thin bone of the right leg3_shortage of the right leg by 8cm. In age of fifteen I got artifficial splint to help me in walking. It gave very good benefet, my gait was good and I able to walk for far distancebut I could not run. In 1994 I failed on the ground and thehead of my hipbone broke .By wieght pulling for three months become ok .the life continue as good as it could be . In 1998i got hyperexetintion of the knee of the left leg. with time became sever type. I went for many Doctores but this was no use . In 2016 I began to do these exercises.A-I decrease my wieght about 10kg from 75 kg tom 65 kg .2_i do many exercises to strength my leg muscles .3_neurorubin inj every 2 days for one month . The result is :1- the calf muscles of the left leg is very good .2-the biceps femoris (Hamstrings ) is moderat not very good 3-the glut of the is moderat too.4- the quads (quadricep ) not good . I have taken (X -RAY ) it showed moderate ( osteo arthritis ) in the left knee. the tibia and fibula is good and Pabulla -fomral joint NO loose bodies .
