knee: physio, taping etc (PF)

Hi, I have good old anterior knee pain (we’ve been’friends’ for around 10 years (I’m 27)). I recentlyhad Xrays and MRI’s after I had a very soreknee for 2 weeks after it flamed up during atournament (we thought it was a meniscus tear)and there is surprisingly little cartilagedamage. It started when I ran cross country (gave that up),since then I’ve cycled, jogged, played basketballand soccer. I love sprint training but that alwayskills the knee. My VMO is smaller than my otherleg despite stretching (ITB, thigh, calf etc)and doing leg raises, squats and lunges.I’ve read a lot, spoken to both orthopedic surgeonsand physios and have the feeling that treatment isa bit of a lottery. I want to try taping, butsince I now live in a non-English speaking countryam looking for info on how to tape the knee myself. How do I know whether I need to rotate the patellaor just tape it medially? There’s so much info on the Internet, I’m hopingI’ve just missed it. Otherwise please pointme to an article (Mcconnell?) that I should getfrom a library.ta,Brad.

No m8 it takes time! I have damage my Cartiledge and my crusia ligiment and it takes time to repair and a slit knock of any kind can damage it again if u strat back to soon! my has done it 6 months of hard physio and training went down the drain for a stupid mistake of kicking a ball! now I am back to square one! there is no point in rushing things!
