Absolutely it is. I initially suffered quite a bit from ‘Osgood’ as I am a cyclist. The doctor suggested I give up riding, so I saw a prostheitist instead. He made up a strap for my knee and I initially wore it all the time. Now I wear it only when I ride. The pain was gone totally after the first 2 weeks after when I started wearing the strap. I also had some physio work on my IT band. I suggest you try it. I currently cycle 400kms per week without any pain at all.

I have been diagnosed with Osgood Slatters, and cannot find the band.
