knee tendonitis

(2 discussions)

About 3 months ago, I locked in and twisted my knee. Got a MRI and said had some chondromalacia and swelling.
I have been going to PT for 3 weeks now. My therapist beleives I have tendonitis.
The first week and half I was at therapy, my knee was improving, however, the past week, my knee has been getting a little worst. I am doing the same exercises, the past two weeks, nothing different. I haven’t played any sports. Besides therapy, I am home resting my knee, taking medication, icing it, and walking only when needed.
I wanted to know if this is normal for tendonitis, the up and downs of healing. I am getting worried that my knee is going to get back to where I started off from and hurt a lot again and never get better. Please let me know if this is normal.

My doctor thinks that I have knee tendonitis too, and for a month I went to physical therapy. But It’s been a couple of months after my phsical therapy, and my knee hasn’t gotten better. The doctor reccommended Ultra Sound, and I’ve been going to the gym for an hour every night. For me, this process has been working better, but it’s up to you if you would like to try or not. I think it’s working better because on the gym you are on your own and you can tell what your pace should be.

My doctor is saying I got tendonitus. It started 6 months ago. Went to physio for a month and had ultrasound and it got better. Then it got worse again been taking Naproxen for 3 month and no change, now I had a steroid injection and still no difference. IT SEEMS TO GO ON FOREVER
