Doctor,In reference to my post on Monday 7/25, the procedure I’m having done is a lapidus.
I understand the recovery period is long however, can you tell me what to expect in terms of being able to return to activities such as running, dancing, and hiking?

I can’t tell you exactly, because I haven’t evaluated your foot or seen x-rays. I will say generically that patients are usually non weight bearing on crutches for a period of weeks until x-rays show that the bone is healing.Specifically, I would say how is it that your doctor hasn’t told you about the afterward?

My doctor tells me I should be able to run and dance again. I was trying to solicit your opinion regarding what you’ve seen or experienced with people who have had this procedure. Thanks,Dan
