Left foot tingling
Good Morning, I am having a tingling sensation in my left foot.
Sorta feels as if it partially asleep.
The outside top portion has kinda turned a brown speckled color along with the area at the top of my ankle and right behind my ankle.
I broke this foot in 2 places several years ago.
I don’t know if this has anything to do with it or not.
My sister has M S and I was wondering if this could be a systom or if it could be poor circulation?
I would very much like to hear what you think.

From your description, you sound like you have an infected ingrown toenail. This is a simple surgery done in the office by almost all podiatrists. The success rate is very good and the procedure is to attempt to permanently remove the offending edge of the toenail. If you have been self treating, you are doing yourself no big favor. None of the things you are doing will be effective. I recommend you see a podiatrist ASAP and have the problem taken care of. Your health should be important to you. Good luck. Vivian A DPM

I know I need to get surgery but whats the cost? As I mentioned before I have no insurance, thats why I have been avoiding surgery. Thanks -Ammy

Ammy,Surgery for an ingrown toenail surgery can run from $250 to $500 dollars. That would be in the office and should include all follow up care. The best thing would be to call several podiatrists in your area and ask about fees. Hopefully, they would offer a cash discount once you explained that you have no insurance. Good luck,Misti
