Long Tailbone

As was stated in an earlier post:”My tailbone does noy curve inward as it should, instead it points directly downward, so I can feel it completely, (even see it). It’s always been this way so I have to be careful not to bang it. I assumed I would someday have it removed or cut down, but have heard the recovery time for tailbone removal can be up to a year. I’ve also heard that removal is not recommended. I have no pain at all (unless I hit it) but it’s not easy to sit in certain positions. Any help would be great. Thanks
