Lower Body Numbness

(2 discussions)

I’ve been having lower body numbness for the past year.
The numbness only occurs when I play an active sport, i.e. basketball, tennis.
When it first started, it didn’t last very long, but lately, it’s taken me days rather than hours to get over the numb sensation.
What’s wrong with me?
I’m only 28 years old.If I were to see a doctor, what type would I go see?

Dear DoctorRecently I hace been experiencing a very troubling kind of symptoms. Most night I cannot fall asleep because my body becomes numb on the side I am sleeping than when I turn and try the other side the same thing occurs and this keeps me up all night trying to find a position to fall asleep. If I try to ignore the numbness tha it becomes worse and painful. I even have to get up and walk around awhile to restore my body blood flowing and to do some kind of streching and yoga exercise. But to no avail the minute I get back to bed it starts all over. If I take a sleeping pill I find I can finally fall asleep and not feel the numbness. What could be the cause?
