lump on achilles tendon

(3 discussions)

I have just noticed a painless lump on my achilles tendon above where any shoe touches…mostly I wear clogs anyway so I seldom have anything that touches my foot at the back of the heel…is this something that I should have checked?

A lump that appears suddenly without a good reason (painless or not) on any part of your body should always be checked out. Please do so for peace of mind.

i have a painful lump right above my heel on the achilles tendon and it hurts when I walk. I want to know what it is and how to diagnos it please. Thank you for your time.

i have a lump about the size of half a cue ball on the outside of the achilles tendon. it is not painful, however, under the arch on the inside part of my foot feels like it is strained. are these related? is either of them something I need to be concerned about?
