Lump on outside of ankle

I notice a lump the size of a gumball on the outside of my foot just below the ankle bone.
It isn’t painful but I am wondering what it could be.
I’ve had a lipoma removed from my back before.
Could this be another?
It feels kind of hard compared to my earlier one.

  1. Without any more information than you give, I can guess the most common thing would be a ganglion. There are other things it might be, so get it checked out.
