lumps on foot and ankle

I have had lumps on my foot and ankle that are purple in color.
They look better in the morning, but quickly go back to purple.
There is a little swelling, and very little pain.
What could this be?
It occured shortly after I gave birth.

If I were to examine these. I possibly would want to do a biopsy. I recommend you see a podiatrist.
