mortons neuroma
I had surgery 4 yrs. ago for mortons where the surgeon went in from the top of the foot. (both feet) It was successful and I have been pain-free until 6 mos. ago. Both neuromas have returned and after trying the corisone shots again with no luck, he has recommended surgery but this time says he must make the incisions from the bottom of my feet. I’m really worried about the scar tissue and post op recovery. Should I get another opinion?

The second opinion is up to you, if you are in doubt. The incision on the bottom of the foot has several advantages and disadvantages. The exposure of the nerve is much easier through the bottom. However, your doctor may want you to use cruches to limit your weight bearing on the area while you are healing.
