Morton’s neuroma surgery

Does a follow-up surgery (10 years later) for morton’s neuroma have to be done from the plantar side, if the initial surgery was done from the dorsal side?
Thanks for your help.

No, not always, but it depends on what the old scar looks like. I have done this both ways.

Just heard today from my pod that, “yes” the procedure to remove the “stump” must be done from the plantar side.

I had neuroma surgically removed from plantar side. The foot has never been right and in fact much worse than before the surgery was done. Apparently the problem is scar tissue inside my foot. Have had Phyical therapy, several injection but nothing has help. Do you know any other method of dealing with scar tissue problem.
