Mother’s low back pain

My mother developed a low back pain after getting up one morning. on getting x-ray it was found that she had L2 vertibra compressed or collapsed . It is not clear whether it is a result of any trauma or has happened to her due to osteoporosis. Her bone density was also found reduced and normal curvature of spine was also seen. Intervertibral disc spaces were also not in limits. She got relief in pain with osteoporosis medicines plus a pain killer pill daily. My question is whether the treatment is going in right direction as she is getting relief or should I consult a neuro-physician or neuro-surgeon. Also suggest some exercises for stregthening of the vertibra.

“She got relief in pain with osteoporosis medicines plus a pain killer pill daily.”This is hardly a treatment, its basically treating the symptoms. See a chiropractor and find one that does clinical nutrition.
