Contrary to whatever old wives’ tale you hear about things like Vicks Vaporub, Listerine, bleach etc. The only proven effective treatments are the oral antifungal medications such as Lamisil and Sporanox. Diflucan has been used for this but it is not indicated for onychomycosis. Topically, Penlac is the other prescrition medication. You should be aware these are all prescriptions. You can see your podiatrist or dermatologist for more information. You may also go online and get more information as well.
