negative heel shoes

Hello,
I am starting nursing school this fall and have heard the nightmare stories about how sore your feel and legs can get from standing.
I have seen some negative heel shoes that are supposed to align your back and help with leg pain?
What I wanted to know is if the negative heel position will actually hurt my heel?
Thanks so much!

Back in the 1970’s Earth Shoes were all the rage. Negative heels were supposed to be like walking on the beach. As with any fad, some people loved them other people did not. I maintain if they were so wonderful, why are they not widely available today? As far as what shoes you will wear during your training, ask other nurses what they wear and why. There are many good walking shoes out there such as Easy Spirit, SAS, Rockport, Naturalizer, to name but a few. Look for quality and preferably someone who will measure your feet. The best time to try shoes on is at the end of a day. And one last point, wear shoes that have a leather upper, no ALL Man Made as all you will do is sweat alot. Good luck
