non-painful lump on shin
(3 discussions)
I have a lump (about 1″x1″x1/8″) on my shin about half way between my ankle and knee. I’ve had it for 3 years. It’s not getting bigger and is not painful at all.
I have a varicose vein running under that lump, but it’s not visible at the lump itself.
I did not injure that area.
the color is the color of the skin.
what could this be.
other docs said I shouldn’t worry about it.

It is very difficult to comment on something I have not examined. Usually I recommend that one has this evaluated by a podiatrist, orthopedist, dermatologist, rheumatologist or neurologist. You wrote that another doctor said not to worry about it so I am not sure what you are asking.

Weird. I have almost the exact same thing going on. Did you ever find out what it is? I’m worried about mine. It’s the size of a pea and I can push it and it will move.

i have a similar non-painful bump which moves when touched. my doctor told me it is a benign cyst, which is nothing to worry about. if your doctor/s say/s the same thing (that it is nothing to worry about), then you should take them by their word; trust them as you would with your life.
