NUEROMA

I HAVE HAD ALCOHOL INJECTIONS ON MY 3RD & 4TH TOES FOR THE NUEROMA. LESS THAN 6 MONTHS ITS BACK. MY CHOICE IS MORE INJECTIONS OR SURGERY. WHATS THE DOWN TIME OFF YOUR FEET. AND HOW LONG BEFORE YOUR WEARING TENNIS AND BACK WALKING ON YOUR FOOT? IF MY DOCTOR WOULD OF DOCUMENTED IT MY CHART WHEN I HAD BUNION SURGERY LAST YEAR THAT I HAD THIS PAIN BY MY TOES I WOULD NOT HAVE TO BE GOING THROUGH THIS MESS. I COULD OF HAD THE NUEROMA SURGERY ALONG WITH THE BUNION.
THANKS,
CINDY F.

I am sorry for your situation. The best thing for you to do is sit down and have a discussion with your doctor about this. The recovery from neuroma surgery differs in people since they swell differently, wear different shoes and have differing levels of activity. Generically, I tell people that it might be 4-6 weeks to be able to wear sandals, tennis shoes.
