Numb “little” toe

(5 discussions)

Hi,
For the past few months, my left little toe has been numb.
No pain or anything else associated with it, I can just tell that it feels funny when I walk barefooted.
The right side is fine.
I did have surgery to remove a piece of bone in the little toe a long time ago (maybe 10 years or so).
I think it was because of a hammer toe but this numbness has just been over the past few months.
Husband is bugging me to get it looked at but to me it doesn’t sound like anything serious?
If you agree w/ him then I’ll give in and have it checked out…
Thanks for your help!!!

One of the inherent problems with giving advice on this site is that people think it is easy to diagnose. It is most definitely not!. I find myself writing very frequently- “To see is to know, not to see is to guess.”So I am on your husbands side. Get it checked out.

about 6 months ago I notice the little toes on my right and left foot feeling numb. I can not link it to a specific pair of shoes or to certain activity. Someone has recommended an EMG test.Any ideas or suggestions

I have that too! Anyone have any ideas if it’s something to be concerned about?

I have the same problem just this past month with my left little toe being numb, it feels like there is a string wrapped around it to tight and is numb. Has anyone had this checked?

I am experiencing the same problem as Kathy with the little toe on my left side being numb. It has just been this last month. I did notice that I cannot seperate it from the fourth toe when I stretch my toes out. The little toe on the right side can seperate from the 4th toe when stretched out. IS it broken or is it a nerve?
