numbness from knee trauma

i hurt my knee a few months ago. I feel really hard on my knee cap and it did sweel and hurt a lot but now it does not. however, on the inner side of my knee it is numb…there is no pian but its just a little patch that has no feeling. what could this mean? nerve damage?

i have the same problem with my knee… I was wondering if you found out what was wrong with yours… I had a car crash a while back and my knee was hurt… It bruised and swelled up pretty bad…but now it’s just numb in one spot.. I believe the same spot as yours..if you can help me out it would be greatly appreciated… Thanks

Finally someone who can relate. I have the same issue only with both knees from Motorcycle injury. No broken knee bones from x-ray, but insurance will not provide MRI without therapy. I am afraid to get therapy because I do not know what is wrong. Do you all have trouble walking down stairs and when it rains, and any stiffness? I am numb from the patella around to the inside of the knee.
