Nursing of patient with lower leg fracture
I want to know for how long does a person who has had a cast for broken tibia and fibula in right leg not change his own trousers and underwear?For how long will he not be able to move at all from his bed and will have to use bed pan for urinal and defecation?Does it make a difference in the abover answers if the cast has failed to heal?

If a person has a broken fib or tib they change there underwear every day.If they are strong enough they can get out of bed and walk with crutches non weight bearing on the broken side. What do you mean if the “cast has failed to heal”? Do you mean if the fracture has failed to heal?
