During a baseball game the other day I heard, or at the very least, felt a pop on my left side right under my rib cage as I took a swing.
What kind of treatment would be the best approach to take?

    Joe,If you are still in pain, you should get an x-ray to make sure that you did not fracture a rib. If not, then you should apply ice several times daily, and take some Advil for the relief of pain and inflammation. After about 72 hours, you might want to switch to moist heat (such as a moist heating pad), if that gives you relief. Good luck.
