old injury never healed
About 5 years I injured my ankle in a bad fall and was never seen by a Doctor. Now I have noticed bruising on the outside of the injured ankle and permanent swellingg since the accident. Walking and pressure causes swelling and pain.
Could you please tell me what kind of damage I have done and what I can do to help decrease swelling and pain while walking ?…

You would need an examination and probably a MRI to determine what is going on. I suggest you see a podiatrist or orthopedist.
