This is a question I cannot find any information on.Can a students backpack affect their back?

  1. sure it can. Of course…. you would have to walk with a backpack on your back for years and years before you notice yourself looking alot like igor. Occasional use of wearing backpacks to school for a few minutes a day is not going to break your back. You have to look at long term.

  2. Absolutely!!!!! Always, always use both shoulder straps. Put the heaviest books or binders closest to the back. Use the waist strap if it has one. If you must lean forward to compensate for the weight, it is too heavy. If it is sagging down your back, the straps need to be tightened. I don’t recall the bag weight/person rate ratio. Hope this helps.
