osgood schlatters disease(OSD)

I ‘ve suffered from OSD since I was 15yrs old .problem was I didn’t know much about OSD then and also at that time I was studying sports studies . So when I was told that I should be taking it easy, I didn’t really take care of my leg. I’ve always been very active and sporty. The thought of me never playing sports again was scary .Anyway i’m 19yrs old now and have been suferring from agonising pain for the last fives until last christmas 2012 when I actually had a operation to cut or trim out that extra bit of bone that was sticking. It went well, It’s been 10 weeks now and i’m hoping to get back to playing certain sports nowdo you have any advice on what and how I should go about it .open for any suugestions. thanks

You should clear it with your surgeon if you can return to sports and what type. You should be stretching your quads though.
