How can I reduce pain in my left knee, which has Osgoode schlatters Disease, with out eliminating physical activity? I am active 7 days a week. All the time I am at school or being active so the only time I have to ice it is at night. Should I wrap it while at school? My doctor says I will grow out of this when I am an adult, is that true? 14 year old/female

Shari,There is a lot that I could tell you about Osgood Schlatter’s Disease (AKA Syndrome), but it would be much easier if you would first find out more on your own. If you just type in the term “Osgood Schlatter’s Disease”, you will find tons of medical information. The sites sponsored by medical professionals are the best bet. This way, you will not only get a much better idea of exactly what you have, but advice on how to treat and deal with the syndrome. Things will be tough for you, since you are such an active athlete, and you knees never seem to have time to rest. If, after you have done this recearch, you still have questions, I will be glad to try and answer them. Good luck, and please let us know how you make out with the searches, and your knees.:
