Over pronation

I have a recent shoe customer with a 9 year old son who has flat feet and significant over pronation (walks on the inside edge of his feet) and experiences knee pain when participating in sports. When I asked if her son had seen a podiatrist? she said yes but because her HMO doesn’t pay for orthotics, the Podiatrist recomended she do nothing. I don’t agree and was wondering if you think one of the posted heel, Lynco orhtotics, might help? Thanks

Steve, of course custom orthotics would be best for this child. However, I understand the situation. The posted heel Lynco might be helpful. The heel needs to be deep in order to control the pronation. Hope this helps.Misti
