Re: Chest cracking

AHHHHH, I have this TOO!!!! it started this past summer when I was waiting tables… I noticed my chest hurt….kinda sore….kinda tight….but I didn’t realize it needed to crack. I must have stretched sometime during the evening and POP…. It instantly relieved the pain. what’s annoying is, cracking my sternum (or whatever it is) HURTS. the pain goes away, but until it does, it HURTS and I haven’t noticed it getting better of the course of the last 6 months…..so, you’re not alone but now I know not to bother my doctor about it….i’m sure nothing can be done :(allison

Feet fall asleep

(2 discussions)

While doing cardio on an eliptical machine my feet fall asleep after about 5 minutes or so.
WHAT CAUSES THIS? WHAT CAN I DO TO STOP IT?
I found that every 5 minutes if I stop and wiggle my feet it lessons the discomfort.
I have tried to unlace my shoes – does not help.
I have tried to position my feet differently – does not help.
I have tried wearing different shoes – does not help.

sheurmann’s Disease

(2 discussions)

I have recently been diagnosed with Sheurmann’s Disease but know very little about it. I am 38 years old and would like to know if there is anything I can do about this now. Most articles I have read are about teenagers whose bones are not fully developed and therefore have some chance of fighting it. I still do not know what causes it what it actually means or how to deal with it. Can it be passed on to my children and what the prognosis is.Any information you can give me would be helpful as my GP seems to know very little about it.Kind RegardsMary

morton’s neuroma surgery

(2 discussions)

Hello,
I’m posting this message on behalf of my sister in law who had morton’s neuroma surgery on 4/15/2014 on both feet.
Today is 9/14/2014 and she is still unable to walk.
She has been homebound since the surgery and is still in alot of pain.
She is currently under the care of 4 doctors — her orthopedic surgeon, medical doctor, pain specialist and neurologist.
Two of the four doctors are not sure she has RSD (the pain specialist & medical doctor) since she does not exhibit all the symptoms.
She is on neurotin and pain patch–neither helping to alleviate pain at all.
On top of all the pain is her inability to eat normally.
She is unable to eat any processed foods–only fresh fruits and veggies–as the preservatives cause greater pain in the surgical area.
Any advice you can give would help.
We have no idea what went wrong or if she will ever be able to walk again.
Many thanks. Ceil

ACL

My daughter tore her ACL nearly three years ago, she has played high school soccer the past two years with a brace.
I am looking to find her a brace that is specific for non-surgically repaired ACLs.
In the past three years there must be some advances in ther design(?).

burning heel pain

I have a history of plantar fascitis that has not been bothering me of late.
I wear Birkenstock shoes and an custom orthotic in my fitness shoes.
My question is this: I was on my feet more than usual this last week and was a little sore so before getting out of bed in the morning I have been stretching my feet by flexing my feet and pulling my toes toward me.
When I did this yesterday I felt a sharp burning sensation in my heel.
It didn’t seem sore yesterday except if I was to flex my foot.
I iced it and elevated it last evening.
Today I can feel a burning sensation and it gets worse if I have any stretch on my calves, feet etc.
I just want to know what to do for this and is it something that I need to see a doctor for.
Any advice on this would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
