Orthopaedic insert for plantar fasciitis throw off spine alignment?

I recently was prescribed a custom foot orthotic for the treatment of a 10 month bout with plantar fasciitis. Not sure if it’s helping with that or not, but my question is – can an orthotic like this put my back and neck out of alignment.
I am having some serious neck stiffness since I started using them.
I had had this neck problem in the past, but have had little problem with it for years. Am I imagining things?

back of the heel pain

About a month ago, I was playing soccer, stepped on top of the ball and rolled over my ankle.
It felt slightly sprained and now and again I may step funny and tweek it somehow causing the pain to return for a short period of time.
The problem that I am having now however, is that on the back of my heel just off the right of where it appears as though my achilles tendon attaches to my heel bone, I have a bump.
When I am wearing a shoe this bump rubs against the back of my shoe and causes a considrable amount of pain.
When I’m not wearing shoes, there’s no pain whatsoever and other than the bump, can’t tell there is anything wrong.
The actual area of this bump is no bigger than the tip of my pinky finger and when pushed or massaged feels as though a nerve is being rubbed, sending weird pain throughout the lower parts of the back of my heel.
I have been online trying to figure out just what this could be and my best guess would be Haglund’s deformity.
I’m 26 and just recently started training for a team sport so I have started running and biking more often than usual.
If there is anyone that could give me any insight or ideas it would be very helpful.
Thank you.

Posterior Tibial Tendonitis

HI. I am a big over pronator and has been having “shin splints” for 4 years, which really was tendonitis.
This past track season, my arch started to ache and the rest of the tendons started to pull and hurt.
Then one race my whole foot just pulled and I have been out for 3 months with posterior tibial tendonitis.
I got orthotics and have been doing rubber band exercises for the past month to strengthen my right foot.
I just started running this past week and I can run 10 min with out any pain, or little.
Then I start getting a burning sensation that starts in the back of my foot and starts up the arch.
Should I run through this pain?
Any other suggestions on rehab and will I ever be able to run like I use to?

Torn Tendon in Finger

(3 discussions)

I tore a tendon in my pinkey.
My doctor is having me splint the finger in a totally extended position for 6 weeks.
She feels the tendon will grow across and repair itself.
The other option is to put a pin into the finger to keep it straight. How successful is the splinting process.
I am a 33 y.o. male non-smoker in good health who plays competitive sports on a regular basis.
