pain in feet

(4 discussions)

I have had pain inmy feet for 4 or 5 years.
I have had steroid injections, surgery for plantar fascitis, injecions of glucosr or dextrose three times, also acupuncture.. I have now been told I may have neurophy.and have started a new medication.
Do you have any suggestions?
I have also been fit for shoe inserts.
If this doesn’t work, where do I go next?

I have had pain in my feet from since April 2012. I am soaking my feet in warm water for about three nights. I am not too sure if this is right. I do not know if it is a short term illness or if this can be long term. Could you please advice if this is correct with the warm water or if I need any antinflamatory medication or do you think Vitamin E can help? I am anxiously awaiting your reply.

I have pain in my feet. I have been told this is caused by diabetes. However I have not been dianogist with diabees. Can you tell me what is neurophy, the cause and sources of relief?

I had been using a scrub with oat meal & coconut & started noticing severe redness on the edges of my feet & now there is some on the top of the foot. There has been pin point red spots from mid calf to the ankle, which my internist told me was nothing…not to worry. A dermatologist said it was poor circulation, but the internist said I had good circulation. Also that there was no need to test for diabetes, bec I had never had any indication of that. My feet burn after being on them for a long time…now the redness. My mother had this & was told…neurophy. She was in her 80s & I am almost 69, weigh 115 & am 5′ 6 1/2″. Weighed l22 1/2 from high sch til 06, gradually lost 7 lbs while caring for parents from 05 to 2015. Please tell me what causes neurophy in the feet, in your opinion.
    Thanks. Audrey

When I retire at night, and stretch out my legs, my feet begin to experience coldness and numbness. Have not been diagnosed with diabetes. It takes them about 15 minutes to feel normal. IS THIS NEUROPATHY?
