Pain in Rib area

(4 discussions)

Hi, I have a question. Last Sunday we were eating at my house and I started choking on a piece of cole. My friend thought it was a piece of meat and tried to do the Hemlich manauever and grabbed me really hard and squeezed me. Afterwards I have been having pain under the breast area. It seemed to go away but then returns. What can this ne signs of? A fractured rib or a bruised rib? What should I do? Thanks

oh wow ok I’m so confused also it sounds kinda like me.. okay for the last week or 2 I’ve had like a pain under my breast. When I push on it, it kills. it has nothing to do with my breast I don’t think but its on my rib area and I’m kind of worried. I’m going to go see the dr. but I’m wondering if it might be the same thing u have

Hi everyone, well my rib on the right side bothers me really bad. I went to the doctor about 1 1/2 years ago and he told me that it was a Floating Rib and nothing to worry about but do not lift anything heavy and whatever I do, don’t get hit there. Well, it still hurts. I can’t stand for anyone to grab my side, hurts when I lay on my stomach, or turn a certain way. When I touch it now, it feels and looks so weird. I don’t feel a whole rib, I feel only half of one. The rib starts in the back but the end of it stops at my side. It bulges out. I don’t know what to do about it. If you have any kind of advice to help me understand what it is better and what I can do to fix it, PLEASE EMAIL ME. THANK YOU ALL FOR YOUR TIME, LOIS
