Pain in right arm and shoulder

I have been having this pain in my right arm and shoulder which goes all the way to my hand. A doctor prescribed pain killer for it but whne the painkiller effect dies it comes back. I want to know what could be the reasons for this. It happens once or 2 times in a week very irregular.Please reply to me

I have had a nagging pain in the left upper part of my back. I first noticed it in 5 years ago, but the pain was mild, and I mostly just felt pressue. I had a medical card at the time because I was newly divorced and I went to the doctor, who told me it was a pulled muscle. I also thought it was. He prescribed me NAPROXEN. Didn’t help, but soon after I lost my medical card, so I thought, “I can handle this> It isn’t too bad” Well, it got MUCH WORSE over the years. There is a small knot in my back, beside my shoulder blade, and the pain there is a dull throb, and it feels like a small weight in my back. Although that is uncomfortable, I could deal with it. BUT the effect it has on my left arm and neck is almost unbearable. There are sharp, numbing pains that shoot down my arm, like my arm is asleep, and it feels like its going to fall off at times. I wake up some mornings and I cannot turn my neck, like a 10-hour “crick”. I have gained 40 pounds since this pain has worsened. I am a single mother and I don’t have any medical insurance. I finally went to the doctor yesterday, and she said it was a “trigger point” condition, that has its own cycle (thats all I need…another cycle). She gave me NAPROXEN again, but I’m not even going to get it out of the pharmacy. I need Lortab or something similar. She said she wanted to try all other options first, and has me scheduled for an injection of some sorts that she says “breaks up the cycle. I think she is full of S***!!! I think my condition is a pinched nerve, caused by bone spurs rubbing the nerves. It’s a shame I can’t find out exactly what is bothering me because I don’t have the money.

I have the same pain, and have had it for amost 2 years. The pain has been so bad at times that I had to put my arm in a sling. If I try working in the yard and use branch clippers, when I come back in my hand shakes to bad that I can get nothing to my mouth. After about an hour it stops. I am having a MRI next week, I think that the pain may be coming from a herniated disc in my neck. My friend had the same pain and the doctor fould that it was from the disc in her neck, she had surgery and all the pain went away. If the disc is pinching a nerve that will do it.

I am having pain in my right arm for six months now. The pain aggravates in the night. Get some releif from hot bag pressing on the area. I am unble to lift my hand at all at times I have burning sensation and unable to lift even a paper. The pain is there all the time. Took a lot of homeopathic medicine but no relief. The pain is acute and nagging.Feeling very low and depressed. The arm seem to have deformed of it’s shape because of the pain.

For last six months I am having pain in my right shoulder. I had physiotherapy and some pain killers. I am regular on neck and shouder exercises. But now I am having tense biceps and pain on so many points around right shoulder.
So much so the pain now goes to elbow.. Heaviness in the right arm.A bit of fatigue in the hand also. The pain is like current when arm gets lifted to a particular angle. This pain is not acute but a nagging one. Pressing of the shoulder and arm gives relief

I have the same problem. My right shoulder hurts, but it runs down to the arm and elbow. Sometimes it even affects my wrist. I also have pain in my back and neck and even around my ribs. My doctor thinks I have fibromyalgia. He has prescribed muscle relaxants for the pain, but they rarely work.

I have constant pain in the right arm and shoulder. This pain is constant, but becomes more intense without any apparent reason. The pain in the lower arm ia a very dull, costnat pain, sometines throbing. The pain in the sholder is more intense. The pain is constant. Sometimes it is worse than other times, but constant. The pain becomes exquication sometimes, almost causing me to faint. Sometimes, I can not raise my hand and are about my waist, other times I have full motion, but pain is allways there. Any suden movement of the arm or shaouldr causes extreem pain. It is very unusual to get a good night’s fleep because of the pain. This has been going on for about 6 monts. Please let me hear from you. I am in constant pain.

My husband is a diabetic for the past 12 years. However, he has not come to terms with his condition. He uses insulin.For the past month he has been reeling with pain in his right arm (from shoulder to fingers). He cannot sleep on this side or lift anything heavy.

This is Amna from Pakistan. I am suffering sever pain in right arm, with swelling, numbness and paresthesias. There is also noticed red colour changes with profound swelling in my hand. My right arms veins are also prominent. I am too worried, what should I do now? Awaiting your reply.
