pain in the arch
(4 discussions)
I do a lot of step classes at the gym and for the last few weeks I’ve had pain in the arch area of one foot. It is not swollen or discolored. I have been swimming figuring I need to rest it. Any suggestions? Thanks

I recommend you get an evaluation by a podiatrist. Bring the shoes you run in. You might need a custom orthotic, but it is necessary to exam you and watch the way you walk.

You may have plantar fasciitis. If you do a Google search on this, you will come up with loads of information.

I do a lot of running along the hike and bike trail here in Austin,Texas. I have flat feet. I’ve tried inserts and cushions but I seem to always have the same problem which is I’ll tear the achilles tendon. I should I wear arch supports or a support for my achilles tendon?
