pain in the ball of foot

I have pain in the bone on the bottom of my foot and in the ball of my foot.
Sometimes I have swelling of the tissue too.
It is extremely painful and hurst a lot to walk.
When in bed at night I often have burning in the ball of my foot and it hurts a lot to curl my toes under.
Five years ago I had surgery on both feet to remove Morton’s Neromas.(sp) Could this be associated or is this something different.
I have been told it could be plantar plate disruption.
Do you agree? What can I do????

What you are describing could possibly be related to nerve pain. This might include neuroma or tarsal tunnel syndrome. Disruption of a plantar plate usually results in a deformity of the toe. You haven’t meantioned that so I can’t really tell. If necessary get another opinion.
