pain on top of foot sounds like rusty hinge

Almost 3 weeks ago I was at myrtle Beach and woke up and the top of my foot hurt. I couldn’t bend any of my toes with slight numbness and when I would bend them down there was a noise a rusty hinge sound that came from the top of my foot, you can also feel this when I would bend the big and 2nd toe down. Also, when I stepped down it would tingle. It had only slight swelling. I don’t know how I could have hurt it, but I could have possibly been stung by something in the ocean.
The day before I was in the water with my feet burried in the sand and thought I cut my 2nd toe on a shell. It burned and hurt for about 10 min. and that was it and I forgot about and never looked.
2 days later I thought about that when wondering how I had hurt my foot. The only thing on my toe was a small red dot.
It still hurts and my 2 toes will cramp and stay bent unless I straighten them and I still feel and hear this hinge sound. I could really use some help since I can’t get into the Dr. till end of this month and can’t afford the E.R. Thanks for suggestion or help anyone can give. Pam
