Painful ankle with lump

For a few months now I keep getting a lump under my right outter ankle, where its soft. The lump can be slighlty moved under the skin. It is painful and swollen-especially when walked on. After I rest a few days it will go down and sometimes go away (weeks later), but it always returns.

Without seeing this, I can’t say for sure. One possibility is a ganglion cyst. You should see a podiatrist for an evaluation.
