Painful darkish spot on tip of toe

I am a dancer and my toes are sort of curled. I have gotten painful tiny red bumps on the tip of my toes before, and the doctors have said this is becuase instead of walking flat on the tone bone, the bone curls and pokes my skin from the inside. They normally just give me a roll of cotten to keep under my toe to elevate it. This time the bump is basically flat, but painful to touch. Its s tiny circle, with a lighter color in the middle, and a dark ring around it. Nothing is making it feel better and it hurts to move.
