painful feet.

Hey Doc,Both of my feet hurt from the balls of my feet to the center of the arches.
It hurts the most when I wake up in the morning and they appear to get better when I’ve walked on them for a bit and warmed them up.
The pain varies throughout the day.
On a scale from 1 to 10….the pain is a 7 seven in the morning and decreases to about a 2 or 3 for the duration of the day as long as I’m walking or running on them.
If I’m inactive for an hour or two they will stiffen and become more sore again.
I’m 38, average build and not overweight.
I’m in the Navy and get routine physicals.
To my knowledge I don’t have diabetes or appear to have a circulatory problem and feet don’t fall asleep or become numb while inactive. This has gone on for about three weeks.
I’m an active soccer and softball and I haven’t had any sports related injuries that could be associated with the location of the pain.

Without examining you, I can’t be sure. One consideration is plantar fasciitis. If you can see a podiatrist, I recommend you do so. There are many conservative treatments available.
