Hi, I have been diagnosed with a Baker’s cyst, which is keeping me from fully bending or straightening my leg. Are there some physical therapy exercises and/or stretches you can recommend to help with this? Thanks!Doug

Thanks!: DougDoug,Baker’s Cysts are fluid-filled cysts within the tissues, and do not normally respond to PT. There are two options that an Orthopedist has: first, to drain the cyst with a needle. Sometimes this works, but often the cyst will recur. If this happens, it can be surgically removed, usually a simple procedure. You should see a General Surgeon or an Orthopedist for an evaluation and treatment. Let us know how you make out. If I were you, I would probably opt for drainage one time, and surgical removal if it recurs. Good luck.
