Plantar Facitious

I’ve been struggling with this terrible pain for nearly 3 years. 4 shots of cortizone later and I’m now being referred to an orthopedic surgeon – I’m curious what you have found (besides surgery) that seems to be most helpful. I’m still willing to try most anything before I resort to surgery. Thanks!

There are many conservative treatments for Plantar fasciitis. Including but not limited to taping, ice, injections, oral antiinflammatory medications, pre-fab orthotics, custom orthotics rest, stretching and surgery if all else fails. What works on one person does not necessarily work on another. I do not like to give more than 3 shots of cortisone in the same area. There is a risk ofsecondary problems developing. A custom orthotic made from a mold of your foot is very often helpful to control the abnormal forces that cause the over stretching of the plantar fascia.
